Dubai Sports World 2026: Free Gym, Indoor Running Track And 9 Sports Under One Roof
Dubai Sports World 2026 brings nine indoor sports, a free gym, and a free 2km running track to Dubai World Trade Centre all summer long.
If you've spent even one summer in Dubai, you'll know the challenge. You want to stay active, but outdoor football pitches, running tracks and tennis courts quickly become unbearable once temperatures climb.
That's exactly why Dubai Sports World returns every year.
This 2026, Dubai Sports World transforms Dubai World Trade Centre's Za'abeel Halls 2 to 6 into one of the largest indoor sporting destinations in the UAE. Running from June 19 to August 25, the annual summer sports hub brings together air-conditioned courts, football pitches, fitness facilities, tournaments, academies and family activities under one roof.
The biggest surprise this year is that some of the best facilities are completely free.
You can use the indoor gym at no charge throughout the season, and there's also a free climate-controlled 2km jogging and walking track that stays open until midnight every day.
Whether you're training seriously, organising a weekly game with friends, keeping the kids occupied during school holidays or simply looking for a place to walk without battling the heat, Dubai Sports World offers one of the easiest ways to stay active this summer.
What is Dubai Sports World?
Dubai Sports World is an annual indoor sporting event organised by the Dubai Sports Council in partnership with Dubai World Trade Centre.
Every summer, more than 300,000 square feet of exhibition space inside Za'abeel Halls is transformed into a fully operational sports complex featuring courts, pitches, training facilities and fitness zones.
Everything operates in a fully air-conditioned environment, making it possible to play, train and exercise comfortably throughout the day and late into the evening.
The free gym and indoor running track
While most people initially visit for the courts, the free fitness facilities are arguably the biggest attraction this year. Dubai Sports World's indoor gym is equipped with Matrix cardio and strength-training equipment, including treadmills, free weights, resistance machines, ellipticals and functional training equipment.
Alongside the gym sits a dedicated 2km indoor walking and jogging track.
The track stays climate-controlled throughout the summer and is open daily until midnight. This makes it ideal for early-morning runs, after-work walks, or late-night training sessions when outdoor conditions are still uncomfortable.
For many Dubai residents, the free gym and running track alone make Dubai Sports World worth visiting.
Sports available at Dubai Sports World 2026
This year's edition features nine major sports across dedicated indoor facilities.
- Football remains one of the biggest draws, with six pitches configured for 5-a-side and 7-a-side matches.
- Cricket fans can book one of two fully air-conditioned pitches measuring 40 metres by 15 metres.
- Basketball players have access to three full-sized indoor courts suitable for both casual games and competitive matches.
- Badminton continues to be one of the most popular activities at Dubai Sports World, with 16 courts fitted with professional-quality Yonex playing surfaces.
- Tennis returns with two indoor courts, while volleyball players can choose from two dedicated courts.
- Padel and pickleball, two of the fastest-growing racket sports in the region, are also part of the lineup. Dedicated courts are available for both sports, although demand is expected to be high throughout the summer.
- Table tennis has its own enclosed playing zone designed specifically for the 2026 season.
Whether you're a beginner looking to try a new sport or a regular player maintaining your routine, the facilities cater to all experience levels.
Dubai Kids World
Running alongside the sporting facilities is Dubai Kids World, a dedicated indoor entertainment zone designed for younger visitors.
The space includes soft-play areas, ball pits, trampolines, inflatable slides, adventure zones and arts-and-crafts activities.
Parents can choose between:
- AED 60 for a two-hour session
- AED 80 for an eight-hour pass
For families trying to keep children entertained during the school holidays, it offers an air-conditioned alternative to outdoor parks and playgrounds.
Sports academies and summer camps for children
Children looking to do more than just play can also enrol in dedicated sports programmes.
Dubai Sports World hosts academies across football, basketball, tennis and cricket, alongside multi-sport summer camps.
Among the participating organisations is Star Football Academy, which provides coaching for children aged three to 18 through UEFA-qualified coaches.
These programmes are designed for both beginners and young athletes looking to develop their skills during the summer break.
Fitness classes, personal training and wellness programmes
Dubai Sports World has expanded beyond traditional court sports in recent years.
The venue now includes group fitness classes covering activities such as yoga, Pilates, HIIT and Zumba.
Personal training sessions are also available for those looking for more structured support.
In addition, wellness workshops covering nutrition, injury prevention and general fitness education are expected to run throughout the season.
This broader approach makes Dubai Sports World feel less like just a place to book a court and more like somewhere you can actually spend time working on your overall fitness.
Tournaments and competitive events throughout the summer
If you're motivated by competition, Dubai Sports World hosts organised tournaments across several sports.
Football, cricket, basketball, volleyball and badminton competitions are scheduled throughout the season, with participating teams competing for titles and prizes.
Previous editions have attracted dozens of teams and culminated in championship events and award ceremonies.
Special events have also been a feature of past seasons, including Dubai's first indoor half-marathon.
Additional events for 2026 are expected to be announced through the official Dubai Sports World channels.
